Outdoor Discovery Summer Camps

Outdoor Discovery Camps are week-long summer day camp experiences that immerse children ages 6-11 in the wonders of nature.

Available at Independence Oaks County Park in Clarkston, Red Oaks County Park in Madison Heights and Waterford Oaks County Park in Waterford, each week focuses on a different nature theme with unique daily outdoor activities guided by experienced staff.

Throughout summer, campers enjoy hiking adventures, create nature-based projects, and gain a sense of belonging in the natural world.

Fun learning experiences

Depending on the camp location, campers experience a variety of outdoor recreation experiences like kayaking, archery, golf, gardening, fishing, biking, climbing, orienteering and more.

Outdoor Discovery Camps are offered in partnership with MSU Extension, an experienced day camp provider that offers Farm Camp sessions at Tollgate Farm.
