Springfield Oaks County Park's 3D Archery Course provides a dynamic outdoor experience for archers of all skill levels. Life-sized 3D animal targets simulate real-world hunting scenarios while emphasizing safety, education and outdoor recreation.
The course is currently closed and will reopen to the public next spring.
Located southeast of Springfield Oaks Golf Course at 12449 Andersonville Road, the 3D Archery Course includes 14 stations with 20 targets. The Rhinehart Competition 3D animal targets are spaced to replicate various terrain and natural obstacles, providing a challenging experience for seasoned hunters, recreation and competition archers and beginners alike.
Shooting lanes are clearly marked with backstops where needed. Distance ranges (20, 30, 35 or 40 yards) vary by target. View the course map.
The course is suitable for compound, recurve and traditional bows. Archers must bring their own equipment and sign a waiver before entering the course. No crossbows are allowed.
A maximum of four archers per group walk from station to station in order of play. Archers must obey all posted signs and staff instructions, allowing faster groups to shoot through.
