Disability Law Group
Specializing in assisting the disabled before the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Erika Riggs co-founded the Disability Law Group in Troy to help clients get the service-connected and pension benefits they deserve.
Before starting the Disability Law Group, Riggs was a law clerk and an attorney for a large disability firm. She also was a teaching assistant at Wayne State University and a law clerk for the Detroit Immigration Court and Lakeshore Legal Aid.
She co-founded the non-profit, The 313 Project, which provides scholarships for at-risk youth and pro-bono legal advice and for the last three years, has hosted a Free Legal Aid and Resource Fair in Oakland County each year.
She received a bachelorÕs and law degrees from Wayne State University, where she also served as a senior comment editor at the Wayne Law Review.
She lives in Shelby Township with her family.
