39 U.S. Tax Counsel Magna International Matt Shell is the U.S. Tax Counsel for Magna International. He also serves on the board of directors and treasurer of the Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority, where. he helped develop the #StrongerTogether event series, which connected the Lake Orion and Oxford communities after the shooting at Oxford High School. Shell was a member of the operations committee at Common Ground, a 24-hour crisis services agency, as well as the director and treasurer of Love INC of Oakland County, a network of local churches and ministries. An avid runner, Shell has completed 12 marathons and ran the Boston Marathon in 2021 and 2022. He earned a law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, a masterÕs degree in law from Georgetown University, a masterÕs degree in taxation from Walsh College and a bachelorÕs degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
