31 Communications Supervisor Ð Board of Commissioners Oakland County Sarah Moreau works to incorporate elements of the heart, head and hands in everything she does. As the communications supervisor for the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, Moreau leads a team dedicated to showing the public how important county government is and how it touches their daily lives. In this role, she helped develop three special recognition programs to honor outstanding community members. Before joining Oakland County, Moreau was the communications lead for Royal Oak Schools and established its first communication department, reaching more than 5,000 students and 350 employees. As a communicator for the school district, she supported new programs, Meet Up and Eat Up, which fed families breakfast and lunch during summer vacation, MLK Day of Service and the Cultural Competence Engagement Committee. Moreau earned a bachelorÕs degree in journalism with minors in flute performance and women and gender studies from Oakland University. She is pursuing a masterÕs degree in strategic communication from Michigan State University. She lives in Oakland Township with her husband, Chris, and two very active rescue dogs, Biscuit and Maple.
