35 Sports Anchor WXYZ-TV With a goal of getting sports fans closer to their favorite teams, Brad Galli is thankful that he gets to work in the community that raised him. As the sports anchor for WXYZ-TV in Southfield, Galli has covered all the major league teams in metro Detroit as well as collegiate championships and high school sports. He also has worked as a news anchor at the station and regularly contributes to special programming. Since 2011, he has served as the volunteer emcee and hosted the annual dinner and fall festival for AngelÕs Place, which helps house people with physical and developmental disabilities. Galli has been named Michigan Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association, earned two Emmys from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and won a first-place award for sports reporting from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. He received a bachelorÕs degree from Marquette University in Wisconsin. He lives in Birmingham with his wife Claire and two children.
