As a sustainability technology specialist, Mohammed Hussain Abdul Jabbar is committed to helping make the world more sustainable for future generations.
A principal scientist for Nissan in Farmington Hills, specializing in clean energy and carbon capture technology, Abdul Jabbar has driven innovation with more than 30 patent grants and has worked with the U.S. Department of Energy. He also has been a guest speaker on clean energy innovations in Japan, Brazil and India.
He also works with the Michigan Tamil Sangam and World Tamil Organization to promote Tamil education, mentorship and cultural preservation. A native of India, Abdul Jabbar became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2022 and was the first in his family to earn a college degree.
A resident of Novi, Abdul Jabbar received bachelorÕs degrees from Anna University, a masterÕs degree from Gwangju Institute of Science of Technology, a PhD from the Technical University of Denmark, a Post Doctorate from University of Maryland and is completing an MBA from the University of Texas.
