Motown Museum
Inspired by his parents and DetroitÕs heritage of soul music, Drew Schultz entered the music industry as the touring percussionist, then drummer and musical director, with The Four Tops. Schultz has performed with Motown artists such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson. He continues to play and produce music.
As the digital media curator and historian at the Motown Museum, Schultz engages the public through exhibits, programs and online to preserve and celebrate MotownÕs impact on music and Detroit. The exhibit "Pushin' Culture Forward" was recognized at the 2024 Detroit Month of Design event.
Schultz is also an adjunct lecturer for Oakland University's partnership with the Detroit Institute of Music Education, where he teaches music theory, song writing, and performance.
A Clawson resident, Schultz earned his bachelorÕs degree from New York University.
