Committed to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, Sgt. Sam James’ experience and dedication to community engagement make him a vital asset in both his career and community.

As a member of the Oakland County Sheriff’s office, James has served in a variety of roles, including a corrections and road patrol deputy and a community policing Sergeant in Pontiac, where he now leads as the Sergeant of the School Liaison Program for the Pontiac School District.

One of the youngest sergeants to be promoted with the Sheriff’s office, James plays a critical role in fostering positive relationships between law enforcement, students and the community. He has received multiple commendations from the Oakland County Sheriff’s office.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University in Adrian and is pursuing an MBA. He lives in Waterford.
