PONTIAC, MI – Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD’S Racial Justice Advisory Council will hold its second annual Justice Resource Fair on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at Beaudette Park in Pontiac from noon to 2:00 pm.

Building off the Council’s inaugural event last fall, this year’s event will provide community members with important resources and build critical relationships, while also sharing the important work the Prosecutor’s Office is doing. Resources at the fair will include: employment opportunities, voter registration, utility assistance, medical and dental resources, reentry information, free school supplies, books, and clothes. The event will be family-friendly and will include access to a playground, games, face painting, and a bounce house – plus free food while supplies last!

West Bloomfield School District Prosecutor McDonald formed the Racial Justice Advisory Council (RJAC) after taking office in January 2021 to address enduring racial disparities in the criminal justice system. The Council is comprised of key leaders from across Oakland County, leaders whose professional missions, and oftentimes lived experiences, reflect the urgent need for changes to our criminal justice system.
