Pontiac, Mich. – Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter applauds Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2025, especially the Michigan Guarantee which will support students from pre-k through community college:

Two years of free community college would be transformational for not only our residents, but also their families, our communities, and businesses who need a skilled and educated workforce. This investment in tuition, coupled with our Oakland80 investments to remove other barriers to education, sends a strong signal to our residents that nothing should stand in their way of pursuing their career and educational aspirations.”
