PONTIAC, Mich. - Tomorrow, April 23, 2024, at noon, Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD, in partnership with Common Ground, will hold an event in honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW). NCVRW is an annual event. This year, NCVRW is observed from April 21 - 27.

NCVRW is an annual commemoration recognized throughout the United States that promotes victims' rights and services. Each year, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office Victim Services Section organizes an event to mark this important week. We use this opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the victims' rights movement and reflect on how far we have come while acknowledging the work that remains. This year the Prosecutor's Office and Common Ground will mark the occasion on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from noon to 1:00 pm at the County Complex. The event will include speakers with remarks centered around this year's national theme: How would you help? Options, services, and hope for crime survivors.

WHAT: National Crime Victims' Rights Week Event

WHEN: Tuesday, April 23, 2024 - Noon to 1:00 pm

WHERE: This will be an outdoor event on the County Complex at the South entrance of the Oakland County Courthouse - Building 12E. In the case of rain, we will adjourn to the Board of Commissioners auditorium.
