PONTIAC, Mich. - Zvi Levran, a 68-year-old defendant from Farmington, pleaded no contest to 28 counts from four different cases today in Oakland County Circuit Court. Levran pleaded to 11 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fourth Degree, 10 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Third Degree, three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Second Degree, two counts of Child Sexually Abusive Material, and two counts of Child Sexually Abusive Activity.

The majority of Levran’s guilty plea stems from incidents of sexually abusing teen boys, many he met while providing medical assistance to youth hockey teams.

"This guilty plea holds Zvi Levran accountable for his crimes and provides justice for his victims,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “Today’s outcome ensures Levran’s victims will not be re-traumatized by the burden of testifying at trial. It also spares them any further uncertainty about the outcome of this case. The victims were heard, and their stories were believed. Zvi Levran is guilty.”

Each count of Criminal Sexual Assault in the Third Degree, the highest charge in the case, is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. The prosecution intends to ask the court for a maximum sentence.

A sentencing hearing will be held on April 29 in Oakland County Circuit Court before Judge Yasmine I. Poles.
