MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2025 

PONTIAC, Mich. - Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD charged Gregory Anthony Clark, a 66-year-old resident of Detroit with Manslaughter.

During a fight with the victim outside a gas station at 8 Mile and Lahser on April 12, the defendant is alleged to have stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim was later pronounced dead at Providence Southfield Hospital. Based on video evidence, the victim's family identified Clark as the assailant and described the two men as friends. The defendant turned himself into law enforcement on April 16, four days after the incident.

"Arguments happen," said Prosecutor McDonald. "But the addition of a deadly weapon can turn any argument into a tragedy."

Manslaughter is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Charges are accusations and individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
