Massage Therapist Charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct During Appointment
PONTIAC, Mich. – Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD charged Nathan Adam Thornsberry, a 44-year-old resident of North Branch, with one count of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for allegedly sexually assaulting a client during a massage appointment.
On August 12, the victim was receiving a massage at Rochester Hills spa when the defendant allegedly touched her intimate areas and sexually penetrated her with his finger. The victim told the defendant to stop, but he allegedly continued touching her as he withdrew his hand.
“Massage and other therapeutic treatments are professional services. Customers have a right to expect to be treated professionally,” said Prosecutor McDonald. “This defendant allegedly abused his position of trust to violate the victim.”
Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct is a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
Charges are accusations and individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
