November 6, 2026, OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The Oakland County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill one vacant seat on the Materials Management Planning Committee.

Qualified candidates for this role must be a representative of an environmental interest group that has members residing in Oakland County. The position is to fulfill the remainder of the current term which will end June 12, 2029. The Materials Management Planning Committee meets once a month.

The Materials Management Planning Committee oversees the implementation of the county’s Materials Management Plan, a state-mandated plan that assures adequate materials management capacity for all non-hazardous solid waste generated in the county.
