Picnic Shelter and Facility Rental

Perfect picnic spots are just a short drive away. Oakland County Parks has several locations for special occasions such as company picnics, family reunions, birthday parties and more. All picnic facilities offer:

• Shelters & tents for groups of 20-1,000
• Sites that can accommodate 20-800+
• Large outdoor cooking grills, sand volleyball and horseshoes pits
• Special packages for Mobile Recreation "fun on wheels" units - Climbing Tower, Inflatable Bouncers and more are available. Call 248-858-0916 for information.

At Catalpa Oaks, there is an universally-accessible playground located nearby the Vincent Gregory Pavilion. Any merchandise to be sold, or banners to be hung, must obtain prior approval.

Oakland County residents receive a $25 discount on Monday-Thursday rental rates and a $50 discount on Friday-Sunday and Holidays rental rates.

Due to construction, Catalpa Oaks will not be renting its picnic shelter in 2026. Look for a second picnic pavilion and other park improvements coming soon.
